Contrary to popular belief, it is the goods owners responsibility to insure goods whilst in the custody of others, Carriers operating under Trading Condition which restrict their financial liability in the event of loss or damage. Should your goods be light in weight, but high in value, it’s likely that the Carrier’s own insurance would only cover a mere fraction of your financial loss.
